Executive Council

Teresa Sturdivant is the Senior Secretary for the Emergency Preparedness department at the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department. She joined the Health Department on December 20, 2017. Teresa has an extensive professional career in the administrative/secretarial field where she has worked in several industries, providing clerical support to officers, managers, staff members, and attorneys. In the Emergency Preparedness department, she supports a team of four employees and Virginia (Jenny) Wolverton, our SERHC Regional Healthcare Coordinator, is one of those individuals. Teresa assists Jenny with daily tasks in the office and the SERHC Executive Council by taking minutes at the monthly meetings. Teresa also takes minutes at the SERHC Coalition meetings and provides assistance with coordinating meeting locations and ordering catering for its members.  Teresa feels she has learned a lot about emergency preparedness by working in the department at the Health Department and by attending the SERHC Executive Council and Coalition meetings. There are many players who come together as one “big team” to help ensure that we all are knowledgeable and better prepared in case of a major event or disaster in our community.
