Biography

Kenneth Tartar has worked for the Tennessee Department of Health since 2006. For the past six years he has served as the Regional Hospital Coordinator for the Southeast Region in the State of Tennessee. Ken earned his BA in Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University in 1996. In 2010, he completed his Masters of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in Nashville, TN. Ken is a Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional. He serves as the Coordinator for the Southeast Tennessee Healthcare Coalition and is an active member for the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network. Ken has worked to implement the PsySTART triage system for the State of Tennessee Dept. of Health. Ken, a native of Philadelphia, has lived in the SE Tennessee/NW Georgia region for 13 years. For the 12 years prior to his employment with the State of Tennessee Ken held various positions related to mental health.
